Baked Potato Recipes

Salt-baked potato

An interesting option for a side potato dish is to bake it in salt. Such an exquisite dish will be perfect for dinner.


  • 8 potatoes;
  • 4 tbsp. spoons of coarse sea salt;
  • 2 eggs (egg white only);
  • butter.

Rinse the potatoes thoroughly, pierce them in several places with a fork. Then dip them into beaten egg whites, then in salt. Preheat oven to 160°C and bake potatoes for 1.5 hours. Increase temperature to 220°C and bake for about an hour.

Oven fries

Everyone knows potatoes fried in oil are not really healthy. But there is a great alternative that doesn’t harm the body and is cooked in a small amount of oil.


  • 6 potatoes;
  • 1 teaspoon of salt;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil;
  • 1 tablespoon of sweet pepper.

Cooking method:

Dry the chopped potatoes. Layout the slices on a baking sheet so they don’t touch each other. Cooking time is 20-25 minutes in the oven till the slices are brown.

Potato with lemon slices

This Mediterranean dish is just perfect for dinner.


  • 700 g of potatoes;
  • thyme;
  • 1 lemon;
  • garlic;
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil;
  • salt, black pepper.

Cooking method:

Rinse the vegetable and rub with a stiff brush, cut in half. Divide the lemon into four parts, squeeze the juice out of them into a bowl of potatoes. Put lemon slices there, add spices, oil and mix thoroughly. Put the potato slices on a baking sheet and bake. The dish will be ready in 30 minutes.

Baked potato (classic recipe) 

You can cook tasty baked potatoes for dinner.


  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil;
  • 4-5 potatoes;
  • 30 g of butter;
  • salt, black pepper.

Cooking method:

Rinse the potatoes thoroughly, pierce them with a fork and grease with olive oil and spices. After 60-75 minutes, check whether the dish is ready with a fork. Preheat the oven to 180-200°C and put the potatoes directly on the wire rack.     

Dish with rosemary and garlic


  • 5 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 kg of potatoes;
  • fresh rosemary;
  • salt, black pepper.

Cooking method:

Potatoes need to be thoroughly washed and cut into quarters. Put the slices on a baking sheet in one layer, pour oil, sprinkle with garlic, rosemary and spices. Preheat the oven to 200°C and bake for one hour.
