An Actual Key!

A couple of weeks ago, I was in Washington DC and Philadelphia. In both cities, I stayed in old school hotels (Hotel Harrington in DC and Penn’s View Hotel in Philly). In both places, I got an actual metal key! How quaint! This is the key from the Hotel Harrington.

For the second time recently, I totally forgot about my pic of the day and have to cheat by posting an older pic to make up for it. This is from my trip to Philadelphia back in January. I love the contrast between 30th Street Station and the new Cira Centre.

On my last day in Philadelphia, I walked around town and took some pictures. This one is of a cool house for sale. Being in Vegas, I miss cool, old architecture. There certainly aren’t any houses like this in Vegas.

Cugino’s, the Italian deli across the street from campus, which is owned by real-live New Yorkers, now carries Tasteykakes. Actually, I’m no longer that big of a fan, but I certainly have a nostalgic fondness for them, have downed QUITE a few growing up.
I found a great flickr site with pictures of Philadelphia. It’s a great place for me to go when I’m feeling nostalgic. I’m particularly happy that he has sets of different neighborhoods, so I can be fairly specific with my nostalgia. I came across his site because I was looking for pictures of Chestnut Hill, and he has a set here.
