Nevada Clouds

Here it is the beginning of March, and I have been keeping up with my pic of the day project. I haven’t been 100% diligent in that I have occasionally waited until the next day to post the previous day’s pic. And I have stockpiled some pics from an interesting event and posted them over several days. Overall, I’m pleased that I’ve kept up with it as well as I have and hope to get more adventurous as the year goes on.
I had a bit of a problem for a while uploading pics right from my phone and directly from flickr, but I just tested the phone which worked fine, so it seems I am back in business with that. And I just tested uploading from flickr and that worked as well, so it looks like I can continue the project here as well as on flickr.

For a short stretch, uploading directly from flickr to the blog wasn’t working nor was uploading directly from my phone. But it seems to be working again, so I hope I can continue my pic of the day project on this blog as well as in flicker.
I have created a page to include all my publications and other writing successes. I always keep my resume updated with my professional publications, but I also want a place to include my creative publications.
My success as a writer has been fairly modest. My poetry publications have been appeared in very small literary magazines. The copy of Superior Poetry News, in which my poem “Fair Warning” appears, is photocopied pages stapled together with a construction paper cover on which the title is handwritten. So, yes, rather modest. But success, nonetheless.
My short story, “Drunk Monkeys,” received an honorable mention in a Writer’s Digest contest. Me and 100 other people. Not the most exclusive of awards, but I’ll take it.
Of course, I am hoping to build on this modest success, so we’ll see what happens. I would like to post more here about my writing thoughts and projects as I have sporadically in the past. We’ll see what happens with that as well.
Well, apparently, something is borked with the Flickr upload. This is my third try to upload a pic from my phone. It uploads to Flickr fine but not to the blog. If I try to post to the blog from Flickr, the same thing happens.
Needless to say, this is discouraging in so far as posting to the blog. So, until I figure out the problem, I will post only to Flickr.
The Some Crazy Restaurant in City Center pic is here.

pYesterday’s pic wouldn’t upload right, so I’m posting this one as a replacement. I forget the name of the restaurant, but it has very unique architecture.br /
