Library Stuff brought to my attention that the NRPB announced the 2005 registry list on April 11. I, too, am thrill to see Daydream Nation make the list. Also interesting to see Switched-On Bach make the list. I had this on LP back in the day (and may still have it) and have not thought about it in ages, but seeing it on this list makes me want to dig it out. For better or worse, art rock may not have been what it was without her work. Without her, there may not have been an Six Wives of Henry VIII, and then where would we have been?
Also interesting to see that such iconic (and diverse) works like Blueberry Hill or Time Out weren’t already on the registry. Then again, I’m no expert in how they decide what to add when.
