2011 Notable Videos

I had a crazy busy end of 2010 and beginning of 2011, so I’m just now getting around to posting the outcome of our Notable Videos for Adults meeting in San Diego.  My documentary watching went right to the bitter end. For the first time, I still had a couple of films to watch by the time I arrived at the midwinter conference. As always, the stress of watching so many films was definitely worth it. I am very happy with our final list and there were not titles that didn’t make the cut that I was disappointed about. And, as always, the sheer number of films I had to watch in a short period undermined my ability to do more reviews.

Here’s the final list with links to my reviews when available.

My complete list of scores is available here.

At the end of the day, our committee was interviewed about the winning titles:

Internet Librarian 2010

I will be returning to Monterey for Internet Librarian at the end of the month. I believe this will be my fifth time at IL. Unlike most years, however, I will be only a spectator this time around. No presentations for me. I was scheduled to do a workshop, but, alas, it got canceled. It’s been a while since I’ve been to any conference where I didn’t have some kind of presentation or committee obligations, which means I can pour my enthusiasm into attending sessions. Because of these obligations, I don’t always have the opportunity to get to as many sessions as I would like, so this time will be a bit of a treat.

I will be combining the conference with a little bit of vacation so I should return with a stimulated brain and recharged batteries.
