Unnatural Causes
Unnatural Causes is a very compelling and convincing documentary that explains the relationship between wealth and health. Consisting of one one-hour long and 6 half-hour long episodes, Unnatural Causes covers wide-ranging topics from how racism affects birth outcomes to diabetes in Native American communities to the impact of unemployment. Although produced prior to the current health care debate, it contributes greatly to the conversation about the problems with the current state of the health of the U.S. population.
Unfortunately, Unnatural Causes is available only in the educational market. This series really needs to be seen across a greater population.
California Newsreel has public library pricing and I bought it for my library.
Thanks for the clarification Vicki. I get too stuck in the academic world sometimes and forget about other options.
